The Abilities International Accessibility Conference will welcome Wayne Grau, a leading voice in complex rehab policy and advocacy, to the 2026 conference in Los Angeles.

Wayne serves as Executive Director of the National Coalition for Assistive and Rehab Technology (NCART), where he leads national efforts to protect and expand access to complex rehab technology for people with disabilities. His work brings together manufacturers, providers, clinicians, and consumers to navigate an increasingly complex policy and reimbursement landscape.

Wayne began his career in the Home Medical Equipment industry in 1990 with Pride Mobility Products, where he advanced through leadership roles including Regional Sales Manager and Director of Rehab Industry Affairs. During this time, he worked closely with complex rehab providers and became deeply involved in legislative affairs, ultimately earning appointment to the NCART Board of Directors.

In 2008, Wayne left Pride to work on a congressional campaign, gaining first-hand experience in the political process. He later joined a group purchasing organization and went on to lead legislative initiatives across multiple post-acute care industries following its acquisition by a larger healthcare GPO. Wayne completed his MBA in Healthcare at Baylor University and later joined MK Battery, where he focused on sales, marketing, and legislative affairs before being asked to lead NCART.

At Abilities International, Wayne will present Expected Medicaid Changes and How We Protect Access for Consumers Utilizing Complex Rehab Products, a session examining how restructuring across Medicaid programs is threatening access to essential equipment. The session will explore which states are facing the most significant changes and outline how providers, manufacturers, clinicians, and consumers can work together to protect access and ensure individuals receive the equipment they need to live their best lives.

Wayne’s session reflects the conference’s commitment to addressing the real-world policy challenges that directly impact access to complex rehab technology. His perspective will be especially valuable for attendees seeking to better understand Medicaid dynamics and play an active role in advocacy efforts that support sustainable access for consumers.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from Wayne and many other industry experts at the LA Abilities International Accessibility Conference. It is the premier event advancing accessibility, innovation, and business excellence.
