Erin Michael, PT, DPT, ATP/SMS, is the Manager of Patient Advocacy and Special Programs at the International Center for Spinal Cord Injury (ICSCI) at Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Ithaca College in 2006.
Michael specializes in treating paralyzing neurological conditions, including multiple sclerosis, transverse myelitis, cerebral palsy, and traumatic and non-traumatic spinal cord injury. With over 15 years of experience, she is a recognized expert in seating and mobility, a focus demonstrated by her coordination of the ICSCI Seating and Mobility Clinic and her presentations on the topic at local and national conferences.
Beyond her clinical role, Michael is dedicated to community and professional development. She is the Founder and current Chair of Team Kennedy Krieger, a growing adult adaptive sports program. Her professional service includes having held leadership positions with RESNA, including Vice-Chair of the Seating and Wheeled Mobility Special Interest Group (SIG), and serving as a member of the Clinician Task Force Executive Board.
